ArtPop Street Gallery
Art Pop Street Gallery is a wonderful program that gives local artists the opportunity to have their artwork displayed throughout the city on billboards, newsstands, and other public settings. It was started by Wendy Hickey in 2014 and supported by Adams Outdoor Advertising and the Arts and Science Council. I have had the privilege of being selected to be part of that inaugural 2014 class and again 10 years later in the class of 2023.
Below are images of me with the founder, my inaugural year entry shown on a newsstand in Uptown Charlotte, the opening for the 2024 show at the Cain Center, my 2023 Billboard, a digital display of the 2023 entry in a hotel lobby, and a collage of other locations where my 2023 artwork was displayed, including Times Square in NYC.
